Zeek Catweazle is an exceptionally talented and dynamic artist celebrated for his diverse skills as a singer-songwriter, musician, writer, philosopher, actor, photographer, and humorist. This vibrant alter ego, crafted by Scottish writer S. A. Smith, originates from Dundee and has proudly made the Netherlands his home for many years.

  

His musical journey began in 1976 when he started as a singer-songwriter with the Dundee punk/comedy band the Snap-On Brothers. Since then, he has embarked on several remarkable projects, including ZEEKtheFREAK, Catweazle, Insanity Suits, and Zeek D'Accoustique, as well as the collaborative effort Infamous Zeek & Giz. With an impressive history in music, he has shared the stage with iconic bands such as The Snap-On Brothers, Fill Bloom, and Ebo, showcasing his versatility and deep passion for the craft. Additionally, he is an accomplished lyricist for other musicians.

Beyond his musical achievements, Zeek is a gifted writer who created the engaging tabloid 'The Fools Funnybone' and authored the novel 'Who Stole a Cigarette from Nigel' in 1980. Currently, he is hard at work on his second novel, 'The Curse of the Panties Thief of Foddleburg.' Renowned as the charismatic frontman of The Snap-on Brothers, a legendary punk/comedy band from the 1970s, Zeek continues to thrive with ZEEKtheFREAK, a dynamic musical project he launched in 1996 that remains relevant and influential today.

As a compère, he has successfully hosted a metal festival and his own charity event. In 1999, Zeek founded the Feelgood Festival in Alkmaar, a highly acclaimed charity event that ran from 1999 to 2024, cementing his lasting impact on the music and arts community.
